I'm a 34 year old woman. I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease in September, 2004, ten days before my mother died of metastatic breast cancer. I'm married to an extraordinary person who has gone above and beyond the call of duty during my illness. I also have a wonderful, supportive family, my dad and two older sisters. I miss my angelic mother dearly and hope to have battled cancer as bravely and with good humor as she did. I'm lucky to have not one, but two doctors in my immediate family. They have provided me with invaluable guidance, and I believe my lifetime of exposure to the medical world has been significant during this ordeal as I feel little intimidation about doctors, tests, etc. I teach in a great little elementary school, although my doctors have not allowed me to work during my treatments. I can't wait to be "normal" next year and hope my Hodgkin's Race will be over for good.

Just found myself compulsively reading all your online entries. We have the same name and had the same disease. I'm three years out, and now a senior in college. Glad to hear you're doing well. Your experiences shed some light on my own. Thank you for that.

I also found myself reading your entries. It amazing how so many of us are so alike. I was also 34 when diagnosed and have a great husband named Tom. I have been in remission almost 2 years. Keep up the fight and stay healthy.
